From Tuesday, October 2 to Friday, October 5, 2018, NSK exhibited at the 2018 iteration of Tokyo International Packaging Exhibition, TOKYO PACK 2018. TOKYO PACK is a biennial convention for packaging materials, containers, and the machines that make them.
This year floor was bustling with excitement for all the newest materials, technology and know-how, gathered together not just domestically but from all over the globe.

With “Supporting Workflow Innovation” as its theme, NSK held seminars for package manufacturing according to the hardware and software offerings on the exhibition floor.

NSK Mini-Seminar

At our company booth, we held a seminar covering six themes. In addition to the visitors who reserved seats in advance, visitors also joined on the days of the exhibition, and in the end resulted in a large turnout for the seminar.

    Seminar Themes

  • Die Board Manufacture
  • ArtiodCAD ver. 18
  • Design Environment/Planning
  • PiCSYS: The Essential System for Package Makers
  • SheetMaker: The Essential System for Small-Lot and Corrugated Production
  • The Smart Factory for the Packaging Industry

ArtiodCAD, PiCSYS, and SheetMaker Software Demonstrations

Software offerings included introductions to ArtiosCAD 18, Work Flow Management systems PiCSYS and SheetMaker, container packing simulation software Boxer, and more.
We made suggestions of comprehensive solutions involving just machines, but software as well, beginning with the paper and cardboard markets and extending to all areas of the packaging industry

A Look at the NSK Booth

The show floor highlights included the ondemand box machine BCS BOXER, which can flexibly handle even very-small-lot production: Just input the values and make a cardboard case.
Our MBM blanking machine for small lot production showed its ability to process various shapes without a blanking die.
In addition, the entry-level cutting machine NS-X5 displayed both cutting as well as its mounted double-sided tape dispenser functionality.

Throughout the exhibition, visitors were able to see demonstrations of these machines in operation. We would again like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the many companies and visitors who came to the event and to the NSK Booth.

Thank you for your continuing support.
